For today’s project, I’m sharing how to create a Step Card using the Waterside Retreat designer paper “Pictures Frame”.
It is like the Grand Stair Step I shared last week for the card base. This time, I used the “picture frames” in the designer paper. The layout is quick and simple with this amazing designer paper. To view last week’s video and more cards with this layout, click here.

measurements
- Gray Granite for the card base: 11″ x 5 ½” score at 1 ½”, 3″, 5 ¼”, 7 ½” and 10 ½”, 3″ x 5 ½” and 1 ¾” circle.
- Basic White: 5 ½” x 4″, 3 ⅜” x 4 ⅜”, 3 ⅛” x 2 ⅞”, 2 ⅞” x 5 ⅜” back, 1 ½” cicle
- Waterside Retreat DSP (from one of the “frame” sheets): 5 ⅜” x 3 ⅞”, 4 ¼” x 3 ¼”, 3″ x 2 ¾”.
- Country Wood DSP: 2 of 1 ⅜” x 5 ⅜”; 2 of 2 ⅛” x 5 ⅜”; ½” x 5 ⅜” for back.
- Basic Beige; 1 ⅜” x 5 ⅜”; 2 ⅛” x 5 ⅜”; 2 ⅞” x 5 ⅜”

For the greeting, I didn’t have the correct size of stamp, so I used my computer and printed out “Happy Birthday.” This card I didn’t stamp, but used all designer paper image BEAUTIFUL!
