Double Arch Door card with the Everyday Arches Dies

For today, I’m sharing how to create a Double Arch Door using the Everyday Arches dies. One of my amazing teammates inspired me. Cheryl shared this design last month for our challenge with the Nature Wall Designer Series Paper.

I created a few different styles using various Designer Series Papers, and while this card looks complicated, it truly isn’t. I’ve included a step-by-step video that walks you through the process—you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to make!

Step-by-step video: Double Arch Door using the Everyday Arches dies

This is the replay of last week’s Create on the Fly. I shared step-by-step instructions on how to create the Double arch Door card.

Country Woods and Gears & Textures Double Arch Door

Measurements.
Note that when I list the number of the Arches Dies, I count from left to right. This is just like reading.

  • Basic Gray 2 of #1 arches die cut. One cut in half for the font.
  • Country Woods Designer Paper 2 of #2 arch dies. Both were cut in half.
  • Basic White 1 of the #2.
  • Textured Metallic scrap to die cut the gears.
  • Silver foil 4 of 1″ x ½”, score at ½”. These are what keep the front and back of the card together. I call these the hinges of the door.

Country Woods and Beautiful Gallery paper

I mixed these two papers: the Country Woods for the front and the Beautiful Gallery for the inside. The stamp set for the flower is the Gallery Blooms. The greetings for all 3 cards are part of the Fabulous Saying Stamp Set of the month.

Three-Layer Double Doors.

This one I did three layers. All the same to assemble, just adding an extra layer to the front.

If you look closely, I added double embellishment for the door knobs. I use the Sparkle Dots and top with the Textures Dots.
