I am so excited to share a Slim Card with After the Sun and To the Moon Stamp Sets. This card makes me smile and also reminds me after a storm the sun will rise and a reminder that it is always hope.
I was inspired by Yessica Batista a concept artist at Stampin’Up! who made a similar card. The minute I saw that card in my feed on Facebook I was in a hurry to clean my desk to make one. Did I say I love this card? well, I sure do. Thank you so much Yessica for share your beautiful talent with us.
I bet many are wondering how to make this lovely slim card. Well, no worry, I have the video below, plus it is a simple card with little supplies need to create this card.
How To Create The Slim Card with After the Storm
Are you ready to see how to create the slime card with After the Storm and To the Moon stamp sets. I bet you will be shocked to see how simple it is to create this card. Let me share step by step with you.
Slim Card Showcase
These slim cards fit perfectly in #10 envelopes. The #10 envelope can be found at most box stores, office supplies, and such. These envelopes are what I call the “pay bill” envelopes haha, but who still pays their bill by mail most people pay online these days but the envelopes are still available at most stores.
The sunrays and the sponging with blending brush one card are So Saffron and one is Daffodil Delight. I bet you can tell the difference in the picture. The So Saffron is softer. So whatever color you have on hand it will do the job.
Measurements
- Misty Moonlight 8 x 9 ¼ score at 4 card base
- Basic White 2 of 3 ¾ x 9 (one in the front, one inside)
That is it for the measurement see it is simple.
For the inside, I stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight on top of the rays.
Only Five Colors Used To Create The Slim Card
As I mentioned above, little supplies are needed to create the slime card. I find it amazing that only five colors of ink were required to stamp this fantastic slim card. The list of ink colors is listed below. Note that the White ink is a craft ink (pigment), so it takes a little longer to dry. You can use a heat tool to dry or let nature take its course.
Slim Card Vertical
After I was done with the video and the cards were sitting on my desk I thought these would be great vertical also. Well, Right away I dig out the ink and stamp sets, and voila! you have this slim card on the vertical layout.
Now question to you what do you prefer vertical or horizontal?
For the vertical, I used Night Of Navy instead of the Misty Moonlight. Both are great for the sky.

Lovely cards Frenchie, both horizontal and vertical. I’m partial to Night of Navy but prefer the horizontal layout, and can’t wait to try this with your stamp set that I loooove TFS
I still pay my bills with envelopes & stamps. The envelopes usually come with the bills. I still want to keep the paper bills on file for income tax purposes.
Wonderful cards! Love the dark sky & the clouds. Thanks, Frenchie!
