Last month I share a card similar to the one of today, but today, I have the back layer for the b-day. To make it easier to show you how I’ve done this, I did a video. Demonstrating step by step with a video is so much easier than by words. So many ask for a video from last month’s b-card well; today, you have access to the video.
How to use the ‘happy” dies to make the b-day cut out
In the video, I have to use the “happy” die and make the b-day cut out. Also, I share how to do the same with the layer. Also, I share lots of tips during the video.
This is a great way to stretch the use of your Christmas Cheer Dies.
B-Day Card Showcase His and Hers
In the Crumb Cake, I say HIS card, but you know it is very unisex could very well be for a woman.
Both of the cards the designer paper is from the In Good Taste. I added a layer in the back of the designer paper, and the other is directly on the card base.
Now for the one with the Fresh Freesia, I say Hers.
If you look closely between his and hers, you will notice the I emboss the card front layer with the die-cut on top. I like to emboss with a folder to remove the rough edge of the back of the die-cut card stock. If you choose not to emboss, I share how to use a bone folder to smooth the edge in the video.
It is a two embossing folder that I prefer to use when flipping a die-cut front to back to smooth the edges of the cutouts. The folders are Timeworn Type and Tasteful Textile. They are both amazing for a soft texture and for removing all flaws of a reverse cutout.
