We all have those days. You need a card today, and there’s no time for a big project. This is exactly why I love Designer Series Paper. It does the work for you.
Today’s card uses the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper. This paper is gorgeous on its own. For a quick card, I recommend it every time.
The Design
For my background, I chose the grayish wood print from the Waterside Retreat pack. It’s simple, but it makes a statement.
For my focal point, I used the Stylish Shapes Dies. This set has six circle dies, from largest to smallest. I used die #1 (largest) in Pecan Pie, die #2 in Gray Granite, and die #3 to cut the bicycle image right out of the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper. A little gold “Thank You” finishes it off.
Card Layers
- Card base: Basic White, 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″
- Layer: Pecan Pie, 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Layer: Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper (wood grain), 5″ x 3-3/4″
- Focal point, layered from bottom to top:
- Stylish Shapes die #1 (largest) in Pecan Pie
- Stylish Shapes die #2 in Gray Granite
- Stylish Shapes die #3, used to cut the bicycle image from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper
Voila! That’s it! A few simple layers, and you have a beautiful, ready-to-go card.
