For today’s blog post, I’m sharing how to create a beautiful Two Beautiful Backgrounds Ombre Technique.
The ombre resist technique uses Irresistible Designs Specialty Paper. This designer paper has an embossed pattern that looks plain at first, but once you add ink, the hidden design magically appears. It’s always such a fun transformation to watch!
I’m also featuring the brand-new Shimmering Stripes Specialty Paper, one of the July Online Exclusives products. This gorgeous paper has delicate glittery stripes that create an elegant shimmer. I created an ombre effect on this paper as well and paired it with the new Swirl of Magic Embossing Folder, another July Online Exclusive. The swirls and stars in the embossing folder complement the shimmering stripes perfectly, making these two products a wonderful combination.
I decided to feature both projects in the same post because they both showcase the ombre technique, while also highlighting the unique beauty of the resist effect on the Irresistible Designs paper. It’s a great way to compare the two looks and see how each paper creates its own special effect.
