Today I’m sharing a Silly Old Bear Flip-Twist Fun Fold card! This card is perfect to showcase Sily Old Bear Designer Paper. The best part is when the card opens — the front panel twists 90 degrees, giving it a surprising and interactive look.
This fold can be made vertical or horizontal, depending on the direction of your diagonal score line. I recommend using Designer Series Paper with a neutral pattern direction, because when the card twists, the paper will change orientation.
Below are the measurements, and you can watch the video for the full step-by-step demonstration.

- Golden Glow: Two pieces – 4″ x 10¼”
- Sily Old Bear Designer Series Paper 1 piece: 3½” x 3½” Cut Diagonal (front panel)

Center frame die-cut from the designer paper.
Inside the card, the Bear and Piglet are out of the designer paper. - Early Espresso Embossed card stock: 2 of 3¾” x ½”
***Optional: if you wish to add strips for the inside, you’ll need 4 pieces
4 ½” x 3 ¼” for the die-cut frame. - Very Vanilla for the inside 4 1/3″ x 3 ¾.”

Scoring Instruction and Assembly Tips
- For both pieces of cardstock (4″ x 10¼”):
- Place cardstock in your scoring tool with 10¼” at the top.
- Score at 4¾”.
- Move the cardstock so that 4″ is at the top and make a small pencil mark.
- Flip the cardstock.
- Line up the bottom of the score line with the pencil mark and score diagonally.
- Repeat these steps for both pieces.
See the video for the best visual and assembly.
🎥 The best way to learn this fold is to watch the video, where I walk you through each step and show exactly how the twist works.

This is the same layout just scored on the other direction, all explained in the video.
