Today, I’m sharing a simple and striking fun fold that I call the Diamond Gate Fold. It may look fancy, but don’t let that fool you — this one is easy and comes together beautifully.
For this card, I used Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper (6×6). You’ll need two full sheets of the same print, which creates that bold, seamless diamond look when the card opens.

How to Create The Diamond Gate Fun Fold
Measurements
- Basic White (8 ½” x 11″) 2 of 8 ½ x 5 ½” score at 2 ⅛” and 4 ¼” see video for tip before you cut the paper in half.
1 3/4″ circle
3 ½” x 4 ¾” inside. - Thoughtful Journey 2 of 6″ x 6″ of the same prints. See the video to cut down to 2″ x 5 ¾”, diamond shape, and the triangle for the corners inside.
- Color Card stock 4″ x 5 ¾” OR 4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜” and 1 ⅞” circle.
Give this fold a try. It’s one of those designs that looks impressive but is very beginner-friendly.
