A Chocolate Lover’s Card (No Calories Included!)

Oh my goodness, I am so excited to share this chocolate card!
I saw this idea on Pinterest many years ago. Every single year, I say, “This is the year I’m going to make it for Valentine’s.” Well… Valentine’s is next week (or the week after 😉), and it still wasn’t done.

Then I was at the store. I was looking at a Hershey’s chocolate bar. It hit me — I need to go home and make that card! And here it is! and Voila!!!! The cutest calorie-free chocolate bar!

A Chocolate Lover’s Card (No Calories Included!)

This card is actually very simple:

  • Early Espresso cardstock for the chocolate bar
  • Designer Series Paper (Love Notes) for the wrapper, and kitchen foil.
  • Red background with an exposed brick design (but truly, use whatever you have on hand!)

For the bite in the corner, I no longer have a scallop punch. I used a die from the Gears & Texture set instead. Problem solved!
The foil is just regular kitchen foil, like you’d wrap food with. I won’t lie, that part was a little tricky, but honestly… crunch it up and wing it! I’ll share all the tips in the video.

I’m sharing a step-by-step video, going live tonight at 6:00 PM Mountain Time. If you can’t join me live, no worries — the replay will be available to watch anytime.

Here extra picture. Not that the chocolate bar, I only put 2 rows, no need to make more, it will be covered. However, I place a few double layers of dimensional, so the cover paper will not flatten in the mail.

  • Early espresso 8 ½” x 5 ½” score at 4 ¼” card base.
    Chocolate Bar 2 ¼” x 3 ¾”, top pieces 6 of ½” x 1 and 6 of ⅜” x ⅞”
  • Love Notes Designer paper 2 ½” x 6″ score at 1 ½”, 1 ¾”, 4″, and 4 ¼”.

Inside with or without a chocolate kiss

For the inside, I’m debating adding a simple heart wrap-up side down in foil for a “kiss”. What is your vote on the kiss or not?

Just looking at this card makes me think… mmm, a good Hershey bar would be perfect right now.
So tell me — are you a dark chocolate lover or a milk chocolate lover?
I’ll take milk chocolate every time! 😄

See you tonight!
Happy stamping, and have a sweet day 💕
