Tips For Quiet Reflection

For today, I am sharing some cards that we often dislike to create. That would be sympathy cards. I have some Tips For Quiet Reflection, an excellent set for thinking of you, a sympathy card, and much more.

I am a big fan of scenery; these stamps have beautiful scenery with reflection. I didn’t share in the video, but after I finished the video, I thought we could always ink the top portion of the stamp if we wish to have a different view. I will share this technique later.

The Quiet Reflection is a Dist-Ink-Tive stamp, so I have some tips for stamping with these types of stamps. I love the Dist-Ink-Tive stamp, although stamping with them is a learning curve. It depends a lot on whether your ink pad is juicy or dryer. I explain in the video.

I don’t feel the need to have bling and embellishments for sympathy cards. I like a subtle and soft card for this occasion, but some say bright colors and bling brighten people’s days, so the choice is yours.

Measurements

  • Smoky Slate 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base.
  • Blackberry Bliss or Misty Moonlight 5-¼ x 4
  • Basic White 4-¾ x 3-½ front, 4 x 5-¼ inside

The top layer of the Basic White is 3-¾ x 5; all other measurements are the same.

Inside, I did the second generation for the stamp. The second generation is stamped off onto scrap paper first, then onto your cardstock. If you are wondering what stamp set the greeting is from, I did this on my computer and printed them on card stock. I don’t like to write much, so having a lovely verse inside the card is a blessing.
