In the video, I shared how to create the fun fold to get the element to pop up in a mountain fold. Also, I shared how to make the dimension vellum flower.
Showcase Detailed Dogwood Center Floating Element
This is the card that I created during the live broadcast. I share step-by-step instructions on how to make the fun fold and the dimension flower.
The vellum flower(dogwood) is one that I say to see the true beauty of this technique is to create one. It is a WOW element for an all-occasion card.
Measurements
- Bubble Bath 8-½ x 5-½ score at 1-¾, 3-½ and 4-¼ card base. ¾ x 5-½, 4 at 1-½ x ½ score at ¾.
- Pretty Peacock or Basic Black 2 of ½ x 5-¼, 2-⅜ circle, ¾ x 3
- Basic White 4 x 3 and 2-½ x 5-¼ inside.
- Vellum 4 x 3
Pictures do no justice. The center of the card is mountain fold with the elements that pop up look like they are floating.

Wheb I first saw this card I thought it was too time-consuming and involved to be very useful. After watching the video the card is not overwhellming in technique or time for me to create as a special card. I mass produce 60 cards a month for shut-ins and would find this card impractical for that. But for a sympathy or birthday card for a special person, yes, yes!
