This month, for my Christmas Year Round, I am sharing the Wrinkle Technique With Regal Reindeer For all Occasion. Most months, I use an everyday stamp set and create a Christmas card. Well, this month, I reversed the stamp. I use a Christmas stamp set for a birthday card. It’s a great way to stretch that stamp set.
I can’t believe this is the 34th month in a row that I share a Christmas card each month. Most use a daily stamp set to stretch the value and create a Christmas card. Some months, I reverse the scenario; I use a Holiday set and create an everyday card. I have all the past months listed at the bottom.
How to Create the Wrinkle Technique
In the video, I share how to create the wrinkle technique for a background on a greeting card. I have a second video at the end of this one; the wrinkle technique is a beach scenery. The second video was that I recorded during a live broadcast.
Birthday Card Wrinkle Technique with the Regal Reindeer
The background is created for both cards, the Birthday and Christmas, as shown in the video. The Reindeer die set is great for masculine cards. Trust me; this set is not just for Christmas. This is an excellent set if you have someone who loves the outdoors or is a hunter. The die set is great by itself. For the birthday card, I didn’t use the stamp set only of the Reindeer, only the dies.
Inside, I added the Birthday die cut. The Happy Birthday together was a bit too big for the front for the layout I wanted, so I split them. Always think outside the box; you can alternate these die.
Here is an extra sample of the Wrinkle Technique and the Seaside Day. I shared this card on one of my Create on the Fly. You can watch the replay by clicking here.

I wanted something to stand out for the greeting, and the Cloud Punch got my attention. And I think it was an excellent choice for this technique and scenery. So, another product that you can stretch the use of it.
Under the trees and the elk for the Christmas card, I tear up some basic card stock to place under for the snow look. Also, I splatter some Wink of Stella.
- Basic White 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base, 5 x 3-¾, scrap for cloud and snow.
- Misty Moonlight 5-¼ x 4
- Garden Green for the trees die cuts.
- Early Espresso for the Elk die cut.
