A little vintage to showcase the Spotlight Technique With Saint Nicholas. I love vintage, and this amazing Saint Nicholas stamp set is a great choice for creating vintage cards.
Many times, we think we have to stamp the full image of a stamp and if it is a detailed stamp that we need to color. Well, this spotlight technique is a perfect example of how we can stamp just a portion of a stamp without adding any coloring and create an amazing card.
Spotlight Technique
I love the spotlight of this Santa. The sponging with Pebbled Path on the edge of the circle gives an old-fashioned look to the card.
Measurements:
- Smoky Slate: 8-½x 5-½ score at 4-¼.
- Pebbled Path 4 x 5-¼, 2-⅜ circle.
- All About Autumn: 5-⅛ x 3-⅞
- Very Vanilla: 4 x 5-¼, 2” Circle.
- Pebbled Path Texture Ribbon: 6’ and 4”
Instructions:
- Stamp Saint Nicholas using black ink on the Very Vanilla 2” circle.
- Sponge the edge using a sponge dauber with Pebbled Path ink.
- Adhere to the Pebbled Path circle.
- Stamp the greeting at the bottom right of the All About Autumn designer paper using black ink.
- Adhere to the Pebbled Path card stock.
- About in the center of both layers, adhere the 6” ribbon.
- Adhere all to card front.
- Adhere the circles using dimensionals and then tie the 4” ribbon on the ribbon to the hand-right side.
- Stamp Saint Nicholas at the bottom left side of the Very Vanilla and adhere inside.
Inside the card is another example that partial stamping is okay.
