How To Create 4 Types Of Bottles Plain, Faux Water, Frosted, and Glass with the Bottled Happiness stamp set. The more I create with this set, the more I love it. I keep asking myself why I waited so long to make cards with the beautiful set.
The stamp set is a two-step stamp and one of the easiest to align each image. The flowers and the bottle are two-step, while the jug is not a stand-alone stamp. I shared a shaker card on Facebook Live last month with great tips for adding shaded color to this bottle and jug. If you miss out on the video, CLICK HERE to view it. Video How To Create 4 Types Of Bottles
In this video, I share how to create four types of bottles. I have a plain bottle, faux water, a glass bottle, and the frosted one. All are the same basic; adding a layer can change the bottle’s look.
Plain Bottle
The plain bottle doesn’t look so simple, right? I sponged some extra ink about half the bottle to give the look of water in the bottle. I added the stems; the stems are fine lines that I drew with markers. There is no stamp with these little lines, but they are so simple to add and make such a big impact on the bottle with flowers. All is shown in the video.
Measurements
- Basic White 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base, 3 x 4-¼
- Daffodil Delight 4 x 5-¼ emboss with Exposed Brick
- Melon Mambo 1-¼ x 4-¼
- Starry Sky 3-¼ x 4-½
Faux Water Bottle
I added a light layer of the Fine-Tip glue over ¾ of the bottle for the faux water. The fine-tipe glue indeed looks like water.
Measurements
- Daffodil Delight 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base.
- Basic White 3 x 4-¼, 3-½ x 4-¾ inside
- Melon Mambo 1-¼ x 4-¼
- Starry Sky 3-¼ x 4-½
Frosted Bottle
The frosted bottle is one of my favorite ones. Adding a punch-out vellum bottle adds that frost look to the stamped bottle behind. All the bottle are stamped the same it is just the add-on or the extra layer that change the look.
Measurements
- Basic White 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base, 3 x 4-¼
- Melon Mambo 1-¼ x 4-¼
- Starry Sky 3-¼ x 4-½
- Vellum, one vintage bottle punch out.
Glass Bottle
Punch a vintage bottle out of a window sheet for the glass look. Using glue dots, adhere to the window sheet bottle at the top of the stamped bottle.
Measurements
- Basic White 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base, 3 x 4-¼
- Daffodil Delight 4 x 5-¼ emboss with Exposed Brick
- Melon Mambo 1-¼ x 4-¼
- Starry Sky 3-¼ x 4-½
- Window Sheet, punch out of the bottle
Inside I stamped the flower at the bottom corner, or I did the top. The bold flowers are stamped in Melon Mambo, and the filler (leaves) are stamped with Daffodil Delight.
The bottle is stamped with Tahitian Tie, Starry Sky, and a little of Night Of Navy if choosing to add more shadow. Tips to stamp the bottom to get the dimension are shared in the video.
