The Peel Back Technique With Frenchie is a fun, easy, and wow effect for card making. I share this during a live broadcast, and since then, I leave a fantastic trick to add to it. First, I will share all I know about the Peel Back technique.
The New Horizon paper is SOLD OUT (I bet many of you have a stash saved up), but I found some prints in the Hues Of Happiness that work great for this technique. Of course, we can always make our own scenery, but for a quick and simple technique using a designer paper to stamp, the scenery is even more fun.
Replay For The Peel Back Technique With Frenchie
This video was recorded live, so some of the promotions I talk about are over, but the technique is all the same. After the broadcast was over, I read all comments and Verna left a comment about trimming the piece of card stock the roll up so it wouldn’t be so bulky!!! Light bulb moment… So, before you roll the peel-back portion, cut about 3 inches so it will not be so bulky and friendlier to mail.
Extra Tip for the Peel Back Technique
When I read Verna’s comment about cutting part of the peel back, so it will not be so bulky, but we still have the roll-up effect, I was AHHHH, why I didn’t think of that. I love it when you all share tips with me. I learn as I go, just like you all. Thank YOU, Verna, for speaking!
Peel Back With New Horizon
The New Horizon paper has been one of my favorite of all time with the Feel Like Frost from last year. I love the designer paper; that is the perfect touch to create scenery, and trust me that New Horizon is fantastic. But, now that paper is while supplies last (it could be sold out by the time you read this), keep on scrolling. I found another excellent paper for creating scenery and the Peel Back technique.
First, let me share a few cards with the new Horizon.
Measurements
- Card Base 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼ Basic White or Black
- Basic White 5 1/4 x 4 *One for the front for the peel back; you can have a second one to adhere the designer paper on but not necessary; you can always adhere the designer paper direct to the card front.
- Designer Paper 3 x 5 ¼
Peel Back with Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper
I love the simplicity of this technique, and the designer paper plays a big factor in the simplicity, so I was determined to find other print to work with for the Peel Back technique. So check out the Hues Of Happiness. It is three awesome prints to create quick scenery just by stamping trees. This is one of the prints.
I will create more of these cards. Next one, I will try winter scenery for Christmas! Stay tuned.
