Simple Scenery Card using Designer paper. It is so easy to make elegant cards when you have some of the most beautiful Designer Paper of Stampin’Up! Collection.
Today’s cards I have some soon retiring paper and new release paper available May 3rd. One of my favorite designer papers about to retire is the unique Expressions In Inks. I love that paper, and I have many videos and blog posts sharing different layouts using that paper. By the time this blog goes live, I hope it is still available. How to create some simple scenery cards with Designer Paper.
The video was recorded live a few weeks ago while Holly was visiting. We had a great time sharing a simple One Sheet Wonder to create six quick frame cards. If you miss the live broadcast, you can watch the reply below.
Expressions In Ink Showcase
These are the six cards that we create during the live broadcast. They are so simple, especially when Holly does the die-cutting for me. I love that the designer paper does the work, and adding the die-cut is the easy finish touch for elegant, easy cards.
Measurement
- Basic White 11 x 4 ¼ score at 5 ½ card base
- Brush Metallic 5 ½ x 4 ¼ cut the 3 x 4 ⅜ Rentangle Stitiche in the center. I used the center for the palm, and I die cut a different tone for the tree’s trunk.
- Expressions In Ink 5 ¼ x 4 *, you will get 6 out of one sheet of 12 x 12 with the remaining 6 of ¾ x 4 I adhere inside. All bits and pieces of the 12 x 12 were applied to the six cards.
Scenery Card With Hues Of Happiness
The designer paper for this card will be released on May 3rd, called Hues Of Happiness. Okay, now I bet you are wondering how in the world Frenchie will pronounce the Hues Of Happiness. Well, let’s say my mouth hurt cause I try and try, but dang, I can say it HAHAH
If you have the new catalog on hand, see page 132 to view that paper. Yes, most of it is a flower but remember it is two sides of the designer paper, and I love this print for scenery. The best way to see all the true beauty of designer paper is to participate in my paper share, detail below.
