Flowering Rain Boots and Simple Watercolor

I have a fun card with the Flowering Rain Boots and simple watercolor to share with you all today. It is a dies set that coordinates with this set, but for today I only use the stamp set and a simple technique to watercolor.

Since moving to Texas, I have been a big fan of rubber boots. Could it be because of the rainy days during the hurricane, or could it be because of SNAKES in the flower beds? Either way, I love my rubber boots, so this set was calling my name the minute I put my eyes on it.

This short video will show you how I did the simple watercoloring of the Flowering Rain Boots. This simple watercolor technique is excellent for beginners to watercolor.

Watercolor Flowering Rain Boots Showcase

It is simple to watercolor the stamped image from the Flowering Rain Boots stamp set. First, stamp the image on watercolor paper. Today’s card stamps the boots using Daffodil Delight stems with Old Olive and the tulips with Calypso Coral. After all, images are stamped using a Water Painter and brush the ink. Voila that simple to get the look of beautiful watercolor.

Measurement

Basic White 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼ card base
Calypso Coral 3 ¾ x 5
Watercolor Paper 3 ½ x 4 ¾

Inside I use the Easter Friends stamp set. I love the t little happy duck with the greeting “may your day’s blossom with joy and happiness” It coordinates lovely with the Flowering Rain Boots.

Flowering Rain Boots Without Watercolor

I didn’t color this one in the Highland Heather with the Water Painter. So this is what I call straight up, only stamp. Still look lovely. The tulips are stamped with Melon Mambo. Below the boots, for the ground, I use the light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.
