Gorgeous Leaves Detail Layer. A simple way to add color in the background of the detailed die-cut leaves. The detailed die-cut doesn’t have a layer to add to the detailed but no worries. In the video, I share an easy way to add a full-color background to the detailed layer.
I bet this card will get the attention of my Canadian follower. I think this card is screaming, Oh! Canada. Well, maple trees are found all over. Even in Texas, we have maple leaves; we have the State Park Lost Maple full of Maple Trees.
When it comes to the fall season, these maple leaves had the best vibrant red color. I would say this adorable Maple Leaves note card would be a great card to send to a friend to brighten their day. Again a just because card we don’t need a special occasion to send our love to friends and family.
How To Add Color to the Gorgeous Leaves Detail Layer
In this video, I share how to had color to the background of the detailed leaves. This is simple with a mask and blending brushes. Also, I shared some tips for the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set.
Detailed Leaves With Color Background Showcase
To create the perfect mask for the leaves is by using a piece of card stock quite bigger than the leaves. I use a 4 x 5 piece of cardstock for this maple leaf and die cut the leaf, using the negative for the mask.
Place the mask where you wish to add your detailed leaf and sponged ink using the blending brushes. Whit the mask larger than the leaf. This is so simple no need to be precise cause the mask will cover the card. All is shown in the video.
The notecard comes pre-scored, and with envelopes, making it a quick card with very little preparation.
