It’s that time of the year when we found ourselves in need of graduation cards. I have that perfect Slim card for Graduation with a gift cardholder to share today.
No matter if the grad is a lady and gentlemen this style card will be the perfect fit for them. These surely will cheer that special grad of yours. The cap and gown design can be easily alternated in any colors of your choice to match the school colors where the grad attended. Having the card to match the school color is the final touch to personalize the card for that special grad.
Also, a gift cardholder is always a bonus. All grads love to get “green” for a gift. Well, I never met a grad that didn’t like to receive money for a gift.
From the tassel to the gift cardholder, I will show you how to make this slim graduation card.
Step by step video on how to make a Slim Graduation Gift Card Holder
In the video below I will teach you from start to finish how to make this slim graduation card with the gift cardholder.
Night Of Navy Slim Card
Night of Navy and white is a great combo of colors. These colors would be my first choice if I wouldn’t know the color of the school. The white cap with the night of navy tassel stands out.
The cap is what keeps the card close. It is attached to the inside and flips up when you open the card. When the card is open and stands on a desk or table the cap sits up. It sure is a beautiful card to display.
Cherry Cobbler with Night of Navy graduation card
The gift cardholder at the bottom of the card is just one more piece of card stock. Just one little piece of cardstock can make sure a big difference.
At the top cut diagonal from 1½ inch top and the side give will give the look of the neckline. When the cap flips up you get the full look of a graduation gown.
The tassel is made with backer twine. All is shown in the video. This tassel has to be the easiest tassel that I share so far. Make sure to hack out the video to see how this tassel is done.
Measurements
- Card base 8 x 7¼. *” at the top score at 2 and 6.
- Cap 2¾ x 2¾
- Two strips for the front ¾ x 7¼ *the diagonal will be cut that the same time then the card base see video
- Basic White for the inside 7 x 3¾ and 3¾ x 2
The slim graduation card with the gift cardholder will fit perfectly in a #10 envelop.
