Today I am sharing how to make a fun Interactive Card with a surprise inside the window. I was so excited when I received the whale card in the mail from Kathy Schmitt. Right away I made one then of course I make a video to share with you all.

Before I share all the detail here a quick video to share how cool this interactive card is in action. The full how-to video is at the bottom. this is just a quick action video.
Measurements
- Whisper White 11 x 5½ score at 4¼ and 8½ card base. the bottom panel 5½ x 2½ open window 2-7/8 x 7/8 using the stitched rectangle dies *keep this die-cut rectangle for the greeting at the front.
- Designer paper 5-3/8 x 4-1/8 and 7 x 5-3/8 score at 3½ at the bottom each side remove 1 x ½ (all shown in the video) Rectangle Frame 3¼ x 1-3/8 inside 2-7/8 x 7/8 using the stitched rectangle dies. *For the whale card hand cut some of the creatures to decorate the card. You can use the Whale punch to punch out the big whale.

It sure is a fun one and can be done with many different stamp and paper
I made 2 of the card today. I didn’t cut the opening close enough to the score line. I had to cut about an 1/8 of the paper off so the greeting would show. I made it work. :). Love how it turned out. Thank you for all you do.
I love this card! I am in the process of making it, however I am using the Whale of a time DSP which is only 6“ x 6”. I am trying to figure out how to do the inside of the card when the DSP is an inch shorter than what’s called for. Any suggestions?
