Hello stampers,
A simple card with the stamp set On To Adventure. Perfect for retirement, well wishes for vacation or any other occasion. I design this card for a group that we share projects each month.  
This is a combination of coloring with Stampin’ Blends and sponging. 

Measurements 

• Whisper White thick 11 x 4¼ score at 5½ card base, 5 x 3¾
• Old Olive 5¼ x 4
• Basic Black 1½ circle punch out

Step by steps 

1. Stamp both man and the woman using Memento Black ink on to whisper white thick cardstock 5 x 3¾
2. Color with Stampin’ Blends
3. For the background sponged Old Olive at the bottom. I didn’t mask I was careful around the couple. Top sponge with balmy blue in.
4. Stamp the greeting using Balmy Blue ink.
5. Cut the 1½ basic black circle in fourth.
6. Adhere a fourth in each corner.
7. Adhere Old Olive to the card front then the Whisper White stamped and sponged on top.
8. Inside stamp Happy retirement using Old Olive.

Detail of the sponged background 

The background I sponge lightly. I didn’t mask the little couple so I just sponge lightly around. If you are afraid to add color on to the couple when sponging you can use a mask. What is a mask? You just stamp on a post-it note and hand-cut. Place the cutout on top of the stamped image and do all the sponging then remove. With a mask the sponging goes fast and no worries to sponge over the little couple. 

They sure look like they are ready for vacation. I think we are all ready for a little sunshine and vacation at this time. Well, I know I am ready, are YOU?
