I have lots for you today. Starting with Accordion Triple Fold and many techniques. Some of the technique is thumping, two-tone flowers, watercolor flowers.
The video can be view below or on my YouTube channel.
The measurements are all the same for the base and the designer paper. Some I added a strip but the main base is the same.
- Back layer 5½ x 4¼
- Tropical Oasis Designer paper 12 x 5¼, scored at 2, 5, 8. Note that in the video I said 5½ x 12 but the correct measurement is 5¼ x 12.
Stitched So Sweet Dies
The frame I used the Stitched So Sweet die. The measurement and colors of the rectangles are Whisper White 3-1/8 x 2, Pretty Peacock 3-5/8 x 2½for top layers. Center 1¾ x ¾ Pretty Peacock. Mint Macaron 2-5/8 x 1-5/8. I mix the size from large to small to medium for this one.
Inside the first panel, I added a strip of 5¼ x 1. Whisper White 2¾ x 5 stamps the palm trees using Pretty Peacock ink and the trunk Early Espresso markers.
Stitched Nested Labels Dies
Small to large for the framing on this card. This is the best way to show the true nesting and the accordion fold. The size of the frames is 1¾, 2¾, 3¾. I measure the dies from point to point. All are in Crumb Cake and sponged with Pretty Peacock.
I added a 5¼ x ¾ strip of designer paper on to the front panel.
The stamping of the Palm Trees I did the thumping technique. First ink the stamp with the lightest color for this card I ink the trees using Mint Macaron ink and thump with Shaded Spruce marker. All is shown in the video.
In the last frame, I stamped the trees without re-inking. After you stamped the trees onto the whisper white card stock, huff on the stamp and stamp on your crumb cake card stock this will give you that fainted background trees.
Layering Circle Dies
The circle size from front to inside. All scallop is in So Saffron. Front scallop 2¾, watercolor paper 2½. Middle scallop 2½, whisper white circle 2¼. Last panel scallop 2¼, whisper white circle 2″.
In the video, I mention I wanted to do small to large for this card but with the stamping, it didn’t work well. So if you choose to stamp and layer your circle small to large only stamp in the center of the circle. Keep about ¼ inch off the side clean and then you will be able to layer all circle from small to large and keep the clean look.
For the flowers, I have 2 techniques. One is watercolor wash and the other is the 2 tone with daubers.
