Hello Friends,
It’s Battle of the Stamp with Sara CEO of Stampin’Up!®, her hubby Sean and I. Stamp set and the suite was Birthday Bonanza that was revealed to us just when we walk in the room.
All this took place during my Million Dollar Sale trip at the home office. Many million-dollar achievers choose to do a video with Sara. Well if you know me just a tiny bit, you know I am not a planner when it comes to creating or video. So I ask Sara and Sean to do a “Battle of the Stamp” and create on the fly with me. So in both video, you will see us create on the fly.
Who choose the stamp
Like mention above it was no planning for these projects and videos. The only thing that was the plan was the time and place it would take place.
Someone at the home office set up the table with the Birthday Bonanza Suite. When we arrive in the room, it was the first that I seen this suite. The suite was not even released yet in the catalog, that is the reason for the blurry in the picture above I couldn’t show the project till it was released in the catalog. My trip took place in October and this suite was released in January in the mini catalog 2020.
I am sure many will ask is this my Million Dollar stamp set and the answer is NO. When my stamp set will be released? well, most time it takes about 18 months because that is how long in advance the catalog is prep and in the blueprint. When Holly and I visited the home office in October 2019, they were wrapping up the Spring 2021 and spring 2020 was not even released yet.
Projects with Birthday Bonanza round 1
These are the project we create on round one of the Battle of the Stamp. I have listed all the supplies of the suite at the bottom. The videos are also listed below.
Here a little detail of each project.
Sara created this one. You may be wondering what paper she used. Well, it was some blends on the table and she used them to add more lines onto the designer paper. CLEAVER that was for sure. She match the line with the colors of the ice cream cone from the other paper she used. Card base Bermuda Bay is 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼
Sean was so nervous cause he is a perfectionist and love to plan things. Well, this was pressure to create on the fly without having time to plan. He did an awesome job! He hand-cut 2 of the little creature by hand then realize it was the matching die to die cut the creature. Just a friendly reminder to us all, the dies match the designer paper.
Card base is 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ in Bermuda Bay.
My first take was a gift cardholder. The toucan I stamp once and again without re-inking so I got a shadow like he is moving. The greeting was an OOOOOPS the first time I stamp I didn’t have enough ink on my stamp so I try to re-stamp but I got a mess… I still finish my card. The card base is the designer paper, 12 x 5½ score at 4½ and 8½. That is a simple way to get a gift cardholder.
Project from round two
After we finish our first project we still had time before the next event on the schedule so decided to go for another round. Here our project from round 2.
What to do with the little bag in the Birthday Bonanza? Well, Sara new that it was some candy stash in the room. She grab some peanut cover chocolate to filed the bag. Made the cute little tag using the candle, gift, hat in the set with all the color inks that were on the table. Color ink was Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay.
After the first round, Sean reaches out for the dies right away for this round and die cut the little koala bear. Made this cute Let’s Celebrate you! card. The koala is floating with the balloon so creative.
I did 2 for this round. Both super simple with a little stamping. Top card only the Happy Birthday that I stamped. the gift is from the designer paper that I hand cut.
Also this one the Happy Birthday that I stamp on top of the designer paper. I didn’t use the die but hand-cut one of the koala bears and pop one on the card. With designer paper many times so little stamping is needed.
Now that wraps it up for round 1 and 2. I will share another round Friday. Yes, one more and on round 3 Holly join to use. Stay tuned for round 3 this Friday.
