Hello Friends,
Today I am sharing a few simple way to make a soft splatter background. I share how to with the Wink of Stella and Aqua Pinter. Also I share how you can recycle your Wink of Stella for this technique. Never toss them out so many thing we can do with what we think empty wink of Stella.
All is show in the video.

The video can be view at the bottom of this blog post or on my YouTube Channel. Don’t miss out the extra video at the end of today video. I share many tip on how to recycle your Wink of Stella and how to keep using them in your card making.

What type of Rubbing Alcohol for this splatter technique?

It is many strength of rubbing alcohol on the marker. I prefer the 70% when it come to card making. The beauty of the rubbing alcohol is it will NOT smear and will dry super fast.

I am sure many already asking the question “Can we use water”? For best result I prefer the alcohol. Water with the aqua painter and ink could be done but not my choice. Water will give a different look plus take a while to dry.
If you are working with watercolor paper then that would be good, regular cardstock with water for the splatter is not my choice.

With empty Wink of Stella that I say the alcohol. The water is not doing the job to recycle the wink of Stella. I have more in the 2nd video on recycling the wink of Stella.

Here you can see the Christmas Rose card on crumb cake cardstock with and without the splatter.
This one I used the wink of Stella with Pretty Peacock ink. I love the effect of the little splatter for a soft background.
