Hello Friends,
Today technique with a window sheet and foil for an amazing background. This is a like the stain glass that I share a week or so ago but this time will use stamping blends and make a full background. Again I lean this technique from Barb Capen my little beaver on the team.
I have the video at the bottom of this post or you can find it on my You Tube channel.
Basic for the Background technique.
In the video show you all it is done. You can color just on the foil or just on the window sheet or both. The one with the rooster I use tea and tape strips and I DO NOT recommend the tear and tape. It is much better with the adhesive sheet. The adhesive sheet we do NOT get the lines so the adhesive is invisible.
Measurement
Rooster card
-Basic Black 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ card Base
-Cajun Craze 5¼ x 4
-Window Sheet 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
-Crushed Curry 3½ x 3/8
-Whisper White 5¼ x 4 inside and scrap for the rooster
-Aluminum Foil about 6½ x 5
-Adhesive sheet 5½ x 4½
The rooster I color with stampin’ blends. The grass is stamp with stazon on the top of the window.
Light House
-Smoky Slate 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ card Base
-Night of Navy 5¼ x 4
-Window Sheet 5 x 3¾
-Whisper White 5¼ x 4 inside and 4 x 3½ for the light house.
-Aluminum Foil about 6½ x 5
-Adhesive sheet 5½ x 4½
The light house is stamp with Basic gray and memento ink. The rock/ground is stamp with crumb cake. The sea grass I use the stamp in country road and stamp on top of the window with stazon.
I am sure many will ask if regular markers would work for this background. Well the makers are water base so it would not stay on the window or foil and would not absorb the colors.

What a wonderful idea France. Who would have thought to use a household kitchen item for cardmaking! I could even try this. Your card is beautiful and looks like the sunset. Love the lighthouse on it.
The card looks so much better in person. The foil makes it look like little diamonds in the background
Great idea! Thanks for sharing!
