Hello Stampers,
Today I will share how to make a floating frame with the Botanical Butterfly designer paper. I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire to make the floating frame.
First let me tell you that the Butterfly Duet Punch is NOT available. They expect the punch to be back in stock first part of April. I bet you are asking yourself why is she sharing if the punch is NOT available? Well some already have the punch and most important the paper is very limited. The Botanical Butterfly designer paper is part of sale a bration so it’s only available till March 31st or while supplies last, whichever come first. So my best advice is to get the paper now and when the punch is available you will be ready to make your frame or you can always cut the butterfly by hand.
I have the video below or on my You Tube channel.
To make the floating frame the Press’n Seal is a must. This will keep all the element together when you cut the opening and to transfer to the card base. All is show in the video.
Measurement
- Whisper White 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ card base, 5¼ x 4
- Watercolor paper 3½ x 2¼ rectangle stitched frame
- Botanical Butterfly designer paper for the butterfly
Center piece
For the center piece I Stamp the trip roses from Petal Pallet using Stazon and watercolor with the aqua painter. Ink for the watercolor is Old Olive and Lovely Lipstick.
When cutting the center out of the butterflies keep all that is in the center on the press’n seal and place dimentional on the back of the butterflies, then apply onto the Happiness Bloom cards. I use the small card for this card.
With one frame you will finish with 2 cards, the frame itself and the center.
Stay tune I will have another video with bigger the Petal Pallet stamp set and die.
I mention in the video the bigger the piece are the easier it is to do. When I do another butterfly one I will only used the big butterfly and not include the small one.
