Today I’m sharing a fun fold card that I call the Floating Cross.
I named it the floating cross because when the card opens, the cross looks like it’s standing all by itself — almost like it’s floating. It’s such a neat effect, and the best part? It’s super simple to make!
This design was inspired by a beautiful card I received last year from my friend Laurie. I created several cross cards last year since they were very popular, but this version is a little different and much easier to put together.

- Pecan Pie 6 ¾” x 5 ½” score at 4 ¼” and 6 ¼” card base. 1 ¼” x 5 ½” and 1 ¼” x 3 ¾”.
- Country Woods Designer paper 1 ⅛” x 5 ⅜”, 1 ⅛” x 3 ⅝”.
- Thoughtful Journey Designer paper 1 ⅞” x 5 ¼” and 2″ x 5 ¼”
- Basic White 2 of 1 ⅞” x 5 ¼.
