Flip-Flap Pocket Greeting Card

How to create a greeting card with flip-flap pockets—perfect for any occasion and easy to tuck a gift card inside! I’m using the Joyful Days Memories & More card pack to keep it simple and cute. The small card, 3″ x 4″, fits perfectly in the medium flip-flap pocket for a tidy, layered look. Watch the step-by-step video below and grab all the cutting measurements directly underneath it.

How to create a greeting card with flip-flap pockets

Measurement

Card base 11″ x 4 ¼” score at 5 ½” or 5 ½” x 4 ¼”
Designer paper layer 5 ¼” x 4 or memories and more large card cut at 5 ¼”
Layer 1 3 ½” x 4 ½”
Layer 2 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”
Layer 3 WHITE or Vanilla to write on 3″ x 4″
Memories and more small card 3 x 4
If doing the full opening card, not just the card front for the inside 4 x 5 ¼ white, and also I use the trim off of the large memories and more ¾” strip and adhere inside.

This one is the whole card, and I inserted a gift card.
For the flip-flaps, each pack of the 3 x 4 or 4 x 6 size has some that open from the long side and some that open from the short side, making it easy to transition from portrait to landscape.

Card front only with the pocket. The trees are from the dies in Senic Adventure. The greetings are all from the Greetings for You Ephemera pack. These greetings are amazing, they have adhesive on the back!
