What to do with designer paper scraps? I have a great layout, the Frame and Herringbone with Designer Paper. The frame has a 4 x 4 piece of designer paper, and the surrounding is all strips of ½”. It is a great idea to use some designer paper, plus it is a great eye catcher.

How to Create the Frame and the Herringbone Background.
In the video, I share how to create the frame card with the herringbone background using the Woven Textures paper. The video was recorded live at one of my Create on the Fly sessions.

Measurements
- Basic Beige 11″ x 4 ¼” score at 5 ½” card base
- Crumb Cake 2 of 4″ x 5 ¼”, one inside and one to adhere the designer paper.
4 ⅛” x 5 ⅜” layer in the front. - Woven Textures Designer paper 4″ x 4″ for the frame, 10 of ½” x 4″ *more if you decorate the inside.
- Basic White 3 ½” x 4 ¾”
The oval “thinking of you” is part of the Spring Celebrations Mix & Match Ephemera pack.
In the video, when I drag the ink pad on the oval, I comment that it looks green. Well, here is the comparison after it’s dried. It is Basic Beige. I remember stamping with Basic Beige a few times and making a remark about the color, but let it dry, and then you will see a much smoother beige-looking color.
