How to create a faux patina with metallic enamel effects
In this video, I share how to create a faux patina with metallic enamel effects. You can access the faux patina with embossing powder at the end of the video.
Faux Patina with Metallic Enamel Effects Showcase
Inside, I embossed about 1″ at the bottom of the insert and used the blending brush to add colors like the front but without the Metallic Enamel Effects.
Measurements
- Crumb Cake or Pretty Peacock 11 x 4 ¼ score at 5 ½ card base
- Gold Foil or Pretty Peacock 4 ⅛ x 5 ⅜ layer.
- Top layer basic beige or basic white 4 x 5 ¼
- Scraps of Basic Beige for die-cut for the greeting.
Step-by-Steps for the Faux Patina
- Emboss very vanilla or basic white or basic beige card stock with the Distressed Tile Folder
- Using a blending brush, add ink. The colors are Coastal Cabana, Pecan Pie, Pretty Peacock, and Copper Clay.
- Add a few drops of Metallic Enamel Effects on an acetate sheet (clear envelope), crunch a piece of kitchen clear wrap, tap on the copper metallic enamel, and tap on inked and embossed card stock.
