How to Create Fall Foliage using Soft Pastel or Watercolor Pencils on Dark Card Stock. Both the watercolor pencils and the soft pastels with the Blender Pen are great ways to add color to the Frosted Forest stamp for a fall look.
Video sharing how to use Soft Pastel and Watercolor Pencils on dark card stocks to create fall foliage.
Watercolor Pencils For Fall Foliage

This is the card I shared in the video using Watercolor Pencils. The pencils are not as vibrant as the pastels, but they still make great fall foliage on the tree in the Frosted Forst.
The Watercolor Pencils and Soft Pastels are used to set the colors on the card stock using a Blender Pen. The video shares everything, but make sure to scroll down for the recipe to refile the pen.

Soft Pastels For Fall Foliage

The soft pastel on dark card stock, even the Early Espresso, shows beautifully. I tried this technique on a few color card stocks. Here is my showcase.

Soft Pastel On Pebbled Path Card From The Video

Measurement
- Cajun Craze or Wild Wheat 11 x 4 ¼ score at 5 ½ card base.
- Basic White or Very Vanilla 2 of 4 x 5 ¼ for each card, one for the front layer and one for the inside insert.
- Color Card stock for the tree 3 ¾ x 5; all colors are listed above.
Recipe For Blender Pen

When the Blender Pen gets dry, you can reactivate it. Here is my recipe and how to do it.
- 4 teaspoons of distilled water (I strongly recommend distilled water; most city water or well (country)water has minerals or chemicals)
- 2 teaspoons of Glycerin (found at a pharmacy)
- ¼ teaspoon of rubbing alcohol
Mix all three ingredients in a small glass (a pill container is perfect). Soak each end for 3 to 4 hours or overnight. Voila, you have a moist Blender Pen again. DO NOT save the mixture. Use a fresh batch each time you need to refresh your pen. They shouldn’t need it often, but it depends on how much you use them.
