Tip to create cards with the Card Templates and the estimate measurements

Did you notice the card templates on page 22 of the 24-25 Annual Catalog? If so, you wish for a bigger print and some measurements. Today, I am sharing tips for creating cards with the Card Templates and estimates of measurements.

Judie Brown shared the larger sketch with the estimated measurements, and I combined them all in a PDF so you can print them or view them here. Plus, you have the estimated measurements in the sketch. This file will be a fantastic tool for card makers. Thanks, Julie, for sharing your work.

The video was recorded live during a live broadcast, “Create On The Fly.” I share how I utilized the templates to create cards and one of the watercolor techniques from page 119. This video has lots of great tips for card-making. Enjoy!

Card Templates In Big Prints, Measurements, and Easy Printable.

To open the file or to print, click on the picture above. Note that all measurements are guest-estimated. All templates can be viewed on page 22 of the 24-25 annual catalog. The downloads are in giant print, and the estimated measurement is on each template.

These are the cards that I shared during the live broadcast.

I created three cards with the sample templates. I changed the layout slightly on two cards, but I guided my design from the template overall. These templates are a great starter to create. I don’t think you must have it exactly how it is showcased. This is not right or wrong, like a math problem; you can switch the result.

For this one, I follow the template shown in the catalog on page 22.

For this card, I changed the greeting banner from the button to the top. The technique is inspired by the Spritz Bliss on page 119 of the annual catalog.

Now, I removed the banner for this one and added an extra layer on the card front. The layer is 4 x 5-¼.

Inside the card, the layers are Pretty Peacock 5 x 3-¾ and Basic White 4-¾ x 3-½.
