How to add Neon Color On Black Cardstock. I say neon color, but you can add all colors. The magic of this technique is to use Craft White Ink to add color to black cardstock.

How To Add Neon Color On Black Cardstock

In this video, I share how to add color to black embossed card stock using Craft White Ink and Soft Pastel. I share on both sides of the embossed and the debossed. The magic of this technique is White Craft Ink and Soft Pasted (chalk).

Neon Color On Black Embossed Cardstock

The first step is to tap the white ink pad directly to the embossed side of the black cardstock. Night Of Navy, Blackberry Bliss, or any other dark color would be great for this technique. You can keep the flowers white or add color with soft pastels.

These cards are with soft pastels on top of the white ink. In the video, I share how to use the pastel directly or with a cotton ball. For the raised embossed, I prefer the pastel direct.

Another way to add color to black cardstock is to heat emboss with white embossing powder and color with bright Stampin’ Blends. This one was colored with the Dark Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends.

How To Add Neon Color On Debossed Black Cardstock

I add the white craft ink inside the embossing folder for the debossed side. I shared the how-to in the video. The ink gets added on the flower’s raised side, which will be the debossed side after embossing. It doesn’t sound easy, but it is simple; see the video for all the details.

After you emboss with the white craft ink, using a cotton ball with pastel is the easiest way to add color. The brighter the pasted are, the more wow effect it gives.

The butterfly accent on this card is colored with Lemon Lolly, Parakeet Party, and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.
