Come check out how to create the cutest Deckle Circle Bear Card. These cards would be great for kids, new arrivals, hugs, and more.
There is a story behind these cards. Many of you who know me know that Dies are not my go-to product for creating cards. Holly and I had a create day together and shared the NEW product that we pre-order from the Holiday catalog. We were sharing the product we got, and the minute I saw the Deckle dies, I stopped and said OMG, I want to use these dies. She said, “What? You want to use these dies but don’t care for dies.” Well, I didn’t realize they were that big, and the minute I saw them, I thought, what a perfect set of die for a bear card….. Let’s say that is what I did that afternoon. I guess I do like some dies.
How To Create A Deckle Circle Bear Card Video.
In this video, I share how I created the Deckle Circle Bear Card. This is very simple if you have large circle dies or hearts. At the end of this video, you will have access to a bear card with an older set of large heart dies. Maybe you still have some of the past large dies; if not, the Deckle Circle is great for creating cards.
Showcase Of Deckle Circle Bear Card
The ribbon I used for the cards is from the Sheer Ribbon combo. It comes in three colors: Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath, and Lemon Lolly. These colors and sizes are perfect for these bear cards. I like the ribbon at the top better; it covers where the card closure is, but for the “boy” card with the blue ribbon, I prefer it at the bottom, like a bowtie.
Measurements
For the measurement, when I give the number of the circle dies, I count them from the outside. (left to right) I understand some counts from the center smallest to biggest, but I found it easier to go in the same direction than reading a book.
- Early Espresso:

This size card fits in an A-2 (regular-sized envelope), although to fit in the envelope, some attention needs to be on where the ears will adhere to the card. See the video for tips.

Thank you for your adorable BEAR video. I made one and decided he needed a little fur between his ears. I used the large open die from Cheerful Daisies making two layers of fur. I even curled the tips a bit.
I am partial to bears. I also married one!
