Let me share how I created cards with the Earthen Textures In Four Stages, from no layer to layers. I bet one of the stages will be your style. Sometimes a quick card is just what we need, and sometimes we must have more layers.
I am a simple girl, so the first card above calls my name. I tease some of my friends that they make ten-pound cards or more. So whatever style is yours, I bet you will find one in these four stages that is your style.
Video Of The Earthen Textures In Four Stages
In the video, I share the four note cards with the Earthen Textures stamp set and the dies. These are simple to create.
Stage One Simple
The simple one is stamped directly on the note card—no extra layers.
Stage Two Simple with Layer
The extra layers are
Basic White 2-¾ x 4-¼
Lost Lagoon 3 x 4-½
Then a piece of Wild Wheat ribbon for a little flare.
Stage Three Die-Cut
Stage three, die-cute the wheat and the vase-basket.
Stage Four Layers and Die Cut
Stage four includes stamps, die-cute, and layers. It is a combination of stages 1,2,3, all together. Looking closely, I stamped the basket and added the die cut on top of the stamped image. I love that the stamp is bigger than the die cut. See the video, and I explain it all. I love that it gave depth to the basket due to the die-cute being smaller than the stamped image.
What is your favorite stage? Are you a 10-pound card maker, or are you a simple one?
Note that the ones that like simple cards, it’s not because we are penny crushers; it’s just that we like simple. Well, that is me. I love simple not just on cards but in my house decor, clothes and such…
