Diagonal Scrap Layout Card

What to do with so many strips of scrap paper? Come check out this easy Diagonal Scrap Layout Card. For today I use the 2023-2025 In-Color. I love these colors and love how well they mix. You could also use strips of designer paper, so in short, any strips of paper you could make this simple Diagonal Layout.

Depending on the colors or pattern of the paper, this diagonal layout would be suitable for all occasions, cards like birthdays, get well, and weddings (silver, gold metallic paper ); thinking of you name it, I bet this layout would work great for all types of occasions.

A short video to share How I used strips of scrap paper of all sizes to create a diagonal layout on cards.

Diagonal Strips Layout

For this one, I just adhered the strip diagonally and trimmed the side. These are quick and simple. The longest strip is about 5-½, and the shortest is about 1-¼ the width from ¼ to 1″. It is no particular size for this layout. Grab some scraps of paper and start creating.

In this one, the greeting is diagonally stamped directly on the front layer. The flower is the tree flowers from petal park punch.

Diagonal Layout Embossed

One extra little step to emboss the front diagonal layer, and wow, what a beautiful result. The timeworn 3D embossing folder is great for this layout.
The greeting is stamped on a 1-¾ circle and layered onto a 2″ circle—the same flower with the petal park punch-out.

Measurements

Basic White 8-½ x 5-½ score at 4-¼ card base, 3-½ x 4-¾ for the diagonal layer
Boho Blue or Moody Mauve 4 x 5-¼ back layer
Pebbled Path 3-¾ x 5 center layer
Flower Moddy Mauve
Leaves Wild Wheat
2023-2025 In-Color different sizes for each strip (longest strip 5-½, shortest 1-¼ the width range from ¼ to 1″)
