No need for special occasions for these Oh, Happy Day Turtle Greeting Cards. Sometimes it is fun to create and send cards for no particular reason, and these turtles are just that.
Who would you send a turtle card to? No matter the recipient’s age, these turtle cards would brighten their day!
Slimline Turtle Card
The Rain Or Shine designer paper is very spring and cheerful. Well, being back up north, I can’t wait for spring to arrive, but till then, the Rain or Shine paper makes me feel it is springtime.
On the front of the card, I die3-cut the turtle out of the paper, and inside is one that I stamp and die cut. The card is rapid to create with beautiful designer paper.
Measurements
- Basic White 7-½ x 8-½ score at 3-¾ card base, 1-⅜ circle, scrap for the turtle inside.
- Rain Or Shine designer paper 3-½ x 8-¼, 1-¼ x 3-½ inside strip, turtle die-cut, hand-cut two little flowers to adhere on the circle “greeting.”
- Balmy Blue 3-⅝ x 8-⅜ In the center of this piece, I stamped the clouds with VersaMark and embossed them with white powder and die cut.
Let’s Fly a Kite
This card is to show dies from Playing In The Rain that don’t have a coordinating stamp. The only image I stamped on the card is the turtle and die cut. The kite, butterfly, wood stump, and grass are what I call dies that stand alone with no need for stamps and are perfect for elements on a card. Check the little bow on the kite’s string; I also use them for a bowtie. See the bowtie on the turtle on the front of the card above.
Measurements
- Basic White 11 x 4-¼ score at 5-½ card base, 3-¼ x 4-½ for the stitched rectangle stitch front of the card, scrap for turtle and bow.
- Night Of Navy 4-⅝ x 3-⅜, scrap for the sting, kite, and bow
- Real Read 4-¼ x 1-¼ and scrap for bow and kite.
- Daffodil Delight scrap for butterflies.
