A few months ago, I received the question, “Can I use Stampin’ Blends to color on cardstock?” The answer is yes. I will share the Blessings Of Home with Flirty Flamingo, using Stampin’ Blends on the color cardstock.
To stamp an image on basic white, vanilla, or colored cardstock, stamp the image with Memento Black or water-based ink like the Stampin’Up! Color inks. Stay away from Solvent Ink when coloring the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends. Solvent ink is the StazOn and other brands, but I am unfamiliar with the others. Therefore, I only sell the StayzOn. Solvent ink and Stampin’ Blends would smear when mixed.
Measurements:
- Basic White 8-½ x 5-½ score at 4-¼ card base.
- Flirty Flamingo 2 of 4 x 5-¼,
- Basic Black 3-½ x 4-¾
Step-by Steps
- Stamp the cluster of flowers on one of the Flirty Flamingo cardstock using Black Memento ink.
- Die cut with matching die.
- Color with the Stampin’ Blends.
- In the center of each flower, add Wink Of Stella.
- Adhere the Basic Black and Flitty Flamingo to the card front.
- Using dimensionals adhere to the cluster of flowers.
- Adhere the decorative dots at the top and three at the bottom of the flowers.
- Using the fine-tip glue, add glue drops randomly on the flowers (for a raindrop look). Note fine tip glue takes a while to dry.

Looking closely at the picture above, you’ll find little drops of the Fine-Tip Glue that look like raindrops. Note that the fine-tip glue takes longer to dry than other glues.
