How To Stamp On Linen Paper To Look Like Watercolor.

Today I am sharing how to stamp on linen paper to look like watercolor.

The linen paper can be found in the 2022-23 annual catalog on page 139. This linen paper has an adhesive on the back, making it very easy to create and adhere to the paper. No need for special spray glue. It is already on the back of the paper just need to peel off the backing.

The video is where I share some basic techniques to create with linen paper. I set the video so it will start at the stamping section. Feel free to rewind to watch all the fantastic tips.

Note Card With Line Paper Showcase

Stamping on linen paper is the same then stamping on paper. I did a little more than stamping on these cards to get the look of watercolor. After I ink the stamp, I spritz the inked stamp with 91% alcohol, then stamp on the linen paper. You may ask, why not use water to spritz the inked stamp? Water takes longer to dry, and the adhesive on the back of the linen doesn’t stick well when adding water; not sure why but when adding alcohol, the glue still adheres well.

Measurements

See the difference between the top and bottom cards? I adhere the linen on white cardstock on the top card, and the bottom one adheres directly to the basic black. Both are good, just a different look. The one on white is a more crisp image, while in the one on black, we can see the definition of the linen.
