Watercolor Frame Card with the Wildflower Path

Today’s share is a Watercolor Frame Card with the Wildflower Path. The design of the stamp set Wildflower Path is perfect for the d look of watercolor with just ink and a little spritz of water. I share all the detail in the video below.

Before sharing the detail and video, I want to point out the greeting in the stamp set that got my attention. The greeting is the reason why I bought the stamp set. See the stamp set on page 106 of the 2022-23 annual catalog.
The greeting is, “Do not go where the path lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. -Ralph Waldo Emerson” That is such a powerful statement and perfect for encouragement, graduation, and much more.

Watercolor Frame Card Showcase

The top layer for the card stock frame is 5 ½ x 4 1/4. The opening is I used the Stitched Rectangle die. The blue card is the 3rd rectangle from the biggest, and the purple is the 2nd. If you keep the watercolor paper at 5 x 3 ½, I strongly recommend the 3rd one because the 2nd one in size is almost too small, making it tricky to adhere to the watercolor paper.

Measurement

Basic White 11 x 4 ¼ score at 5 ½ card base, 2 ¼ circle
Watercolor paper 5 x 7 cut in half 3 ½ x 5 (I stamped the full sheet then cut it in half to create 2 cards)
Top layer Gorgeous Grape or Pacific Point 5 ½ x 4 ¼ and cut the frame in the center. 2 ½ circle for the greeting layer.

During the live broadcast, someone suggested adding the little brush butterfly. I have to say that was the perfect touch to finish the card.
