What a fun Shadow Box Card With Hey Birthday Chick. I have the template and video to share how to create this lovely fun fold Shadow Box card that fits in an A-2 envelope.

I received a Christmas Card from Dawn Robles of this Shadow Box card, and right away, I placed the card in my must-try pile. So finally, I got my must-try pile out, and now the fun is starting. I have many cards that I want to try, so stay tuned for more fun folds or techniques that I was inspired to me but birthday cards or Christmas cards that I got this past yet.

How to Video To Create Shadow Box Card

This video is a little longer than most of my videos. However, I share how to create the Shadow Box Card from start to finish. I bet with the help of this video and the template below; you will have the confidence to create a shadow box card.

Measurement And Template For A Shadow Box Card

The template above is the shadow box card.

Card Base. Card stock 10 x is 8 ½.
10″ at the top and score ar 2, 3 ½, 6 ½, 8
8 ½ at the top score at 1 ½ and 7. Refer to the video and template to remove the four corners. How to score diagonally in the center panel. The center in-between both center scores are 1 ½.

Pop up pieces for inside box 1 x 4 ½ score at 1 ½, 2, 3 ½, and 4. Cut in half after you scored. (½ x 4 ½)

Designer Paper and Back Layer
New Horizons 6 x 6 score at 5 ¼ flip 6″ at the top scut 1 ¾ at each end, and the centerpiece will be 2 ½.
Very Vanilla layer in the back 5 ¼ x 2 ¾.

Belly Band 1 x 9 ½ score at 2.”

You will need Very Vanilla for the punch out of the clouds, Basic White for the Chick die-cut, and So Saffron for the die-cut of Happy Birthday.

Shadow Box Card Showcase

I stamped all three chick with Memento black ink and color with Stampin’ Blends.

The Happy Birthday was die-cut out of So Saffron and colored with So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Calypso Coral blend for the ombre look.

The shadow box stands by itself nicely—a lovely card to showcase.

The back of the card is where you will write your message.
