Video Friendly Hello Two Inch Strips Cards
The Friendly Hello video was recorded live on YouTube a week ago. I share great tips to create cards with 2 x 4 strips of designer paper and different layouts. These layouts could be applied with other designer paper prints.
Two Strip Layout
This series of cards use two strips of the 2 x 4 on a card base 5 ½ x 4 1/4. So if doing a full sheet of 12 x 12 so a One Sheet Wonder, you will get 18 stips of 2 x 4 that would be nine cards.
The centerpiece on the card above is card stock: Basic Black 1 ½ x 4 ¼, Basic White 1 ¼ x 4.
The designer paper is adhered on a 5 ½ x 4 ¼ Basic Black and embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing Folder.
The flowers are stamped on Basic White cardstock using Memento ink and color with stampin’ blends. Finally, the leaves and buds are punched out with the Bough punch. In the video, you will find tips for punching out.
Measurement for the card base
- Basic White 11 x 4 ¼ scored at 5 ½
- Basic Black 4 ¼ x 5 ½
- Designer paper 2 of 2 x 4
Three Strips Layout
The three strips layout is still the 2 x 4 size of the designer paper, but one piece is scored at ¼” top and bottom or on two-piece score ¼.” See the samples below.
If doing a full sheet of 12 x 12 for a One Sheet Wonder at the 2 x 4 strips, you will have 18 strips, so a total of 9 cards.
In these next two cards, the centerpiece is scored at ¼” top and bottom and adheres in the center. It is a faux illusion with a bit of strips in the center, but it is all part of the same centerpiece. Also, both are embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
The top and bottom of the following two cards are scored at ¼. The fold is glued at the center on the first card, and on the second card, the folded piece is glued at the top and bottom.

Basic Black Card Base
As mentioned in the video when using a Basic Black card base an inside insert is a must. All is explained in the video. Below I have the size for the inserts.
The card base is 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼.
The insert 8 x 5 ¼ stored at 4
Card base 11 x 4 ¼ score at 5 ½.
Insert 10 ½ x 4 score 5 ¼.
