Did you notice the cute ladybug stamp set and punch on page 20 of the Jan-June 2022 mini catalog? Today I will share Tip with the Hello Ladybug Bundle. Something about this bundle got my attention; I think it is that smile on the face of the ladybug. That little smiley bug makes me happy.
Tip video with the Hello Ladybug
I share tips with the Hello Ladybug and the Ladybug builder punch in this video. Plus some tip with the daisy punches. Also, I show how to create the Motion Technique.
Simple Note Card With The Hello Ladybug
The notecard with the Hello Ladybug bundle is such a cute one. I did hundreds of these notecards for teammates and my customer for a thank you note.
I love the greeting “you can bug me any time” I would say 99% of the time when a customer or teammate contact me, the first thing they say is “I’m so sorry to bug you,” and I would say you don’t bug me and anytime when we hand up I would say don’t forget you can bug me any time! So that was the perfect greeting to see to customers and teammates.
The daisy I stamp with Highland Heather or Flirty Flamingo, and the center of the daisy is stamped with Daffodil Delight.
Punch out the body using Basic Black and the wing in Real Red cardstock for the ladybug. I stamped the tiny dots on the wing using black Memento ink. It is a stamp for the wing and body, but I like the look with the color cardstock. I explain the difference in the video stamp the ladybug and punch out without stamping.
The flight pattern below the ladybug is hand-drawn with a black marker.
Daisy Punch with the Daisy stamp from the Hello Ladybug stamp
In the video, I share how the daisy stamp and not the perfect match with the Daisy punch, but it is still a great combination. Looking at the daisy on the card, you would think it is an ideal match with the punch, so I would say they are a great combo. I share how to use both daisy punches in the video.
Measurements
- Card base White Note Card
- Basic Black 2 ¼ x 3 ¾, scrap for the ladybug body
- Basic White 2 x 3 ½
- Real Red scrap for the wings
The Motion Technique
Inside the card, I did the Motion technique with the little ladybug. If your notice the second card the last bug was too close to the middle bug. That would have been an easy fix if I had masked the middle bug or made sure to stamp at a distance of the stamped image.
The Motion technique’s most important step is to check the direction the image faces. For this ladybug, she is looking left, so that is where you want to start stamping. For the motion technique, always start stamping on the same side of the direction of the stamp. Ink the stamp once and stamp three times, which looks like the motion.
