WHAT? More Christmas cards? Well, I decided to keep on going with my Christmas Year Round! So, I will start this year with the Grassy Grove Stamp Set For Christmas.
The minute I saw the new stamp set released in the Spring 2022 catalog, I knew the Grassy Grove would be coming to my place. I love the outdoor, scenery and this set is perfect for my style. Then to top it off with the fantastic New Horizons Designer paper, Oh! My, you have a winner. Trust me when I say all the work is done in the paper for us to create a card with the New Horizons. A little stamping, and boom, you have a card finish.
How-To Video Christmas Card with Grassy Grove Stamp Set
In this video, I share creating a simple Christmas Card with the Grassy Grove stamp set and the New Horizons Designer paper.
Christmas Card With Grassy Grove
The Grassy Grove Christmas card is so easy to create. The beautiful scenery is all done for us on the New Horizons designer paper. Stamp a few trees, a greeting, the deer, and Voila! Our Christmas card is ready for next year.
Measurements
- Evening Evergreen 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼, card base.
- Basic White 4 ⅛ x 5 ⅜, 4 x 5 ¼ inside.
- New Horizons Designer paper 4 x 5 ¼
same designer but with the In Bloom for the Birthday greeting. The Grassy Grove is perfect for many occasions.
Wooden Christmas Ornament
With the Grassy Grove stamp set, it was quick to create these wooden Christmas Ornament. No need for special ink; stamp with the Stampin’Up! Color ink directly on the wood disc. Many ask me if I seal my ornament, and I do NOT. If you wish to seal the ornament, use a clear sealer and spray about 10 to 12″ away from the wood disc. I have many wood ornaments over the year without a seal, and they still look like the day that I stamp them. If water touches the stamped wood, it will bleed, but I don’t feel the need for a sealer in the trees.
Every Month Will be Christmas
What is this about, Christmas every month? Wow, this is my second year, but here’s the story of how this started.
I have a Facebook page that followers can share their creations, tips, and such. Around Christmas time, many express the stress and panic that their Christmas cards were not finished. So I did a poll and asked how many would love to make a few Christmas cards every month, so when the holidays arrive, they are done with their cards and ready to enjoy the holiday. The response was terrific, so I promised them I would share and inspire them with a Christmas card every month till December.
Are you ready to start your stash? Also, you can follow us on Facebook and share or get inspired on my Create and Share with Frenchie’ Click HERE to join us.
I hope I can inspire you along the way to get these Christmas cards started, and when it comes to the Holidays, you have less to make. Plus, it is a great way to use your everyday stamp set for the Holidays.
