Today’s card is all about the Sunrise in the Valley with the After The Storm stamp set. I love to send cards “Just Because,” and today’s card is the perfect card for that “Just Because.” I firmly believe a card in the mail for no special occasion is the best way to say to someone “Have a great day” or that you have been thinking about them.
The Valley is stamped with the cloud stamp in After the Strom stamp set. I have all the details in the video below, but I want to thank LeeAnn Greff for the inspiration.
Sunrise In The Valley Video
In this video, I shared how to create the Sunrise In The Valley step by step. So that is correct. Only one stamp set is needed to make this beautiful card, and that is the After the storm stamp set. Just click on the arrow below to watch me create this beautiful sunrise card.
Sunrise Card Showcase
The card above is the one that I created in the video. I added the little clear epoxy for an embellishment. I have the supplies list below for easy access to order.
Measurement
- Basic White 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼, 5 x 3 ¾ top layer
- Misy Moonlight 5 ¼ x 4
Colors of ink
- Valley Evening Evergreen
- Sunrays So Saffron
- Sunrise Calypso Coral and So Saffron
- Sky Mist Moonlight
- Greeting Misty Moonlight
Inside the card, I stamped the little ray using So Saffron ink.
The frame for this card uses Scalloped Contour Dies. Using the frame, start the scenery on a Basic White 5 ½ x 4 ¼. I explain in the video how to die cut and use the negative in the background. The scalloped frame is Misty Moonlight card stock 5 ½ x 4 ¼ to die cut.
The Valley for this card uses Garden Green and Shaded Spruce ink.
The frame is Garden Green; also, the Valley is stamped in Garden Green.
For this one, I added an extra layer. Balmy Blue 5 ¼ x 4, Pale Papaya 5 x 3 ¾, top layer basic White 4 ¾ x 3 ½. The ribbon is the Open Weave Pale Papaya ribbon.
