It’s not always sunny, sometimes it is raining, but a sweet card could brighten that rainy day. So today, I am sharing a Rainy Day Card with After the Storm Stamp Set and the Beauty of the Earth designer paper. Great combo to create a quick card.
I would say the rainy card would be great for a get-well card or maybe for someone going through a difficult time to remind them that the storm will pass and brighter days are just ahead.
Rainy day card how-to video
The rainy day card is very simple what I call “stamp on the go.” In the video, I shared time on adding white to the gray cloud and a few extra tips to create this quick card with After The storm stamp set and the Beauty Of The Earth designer paper.
Cloud with and without white craft ink
As I mentioned above, this card is very simple to create. The Beauty of the Earth designer paper one of the prints is perfect for the sky, so by stamping the cloud and rain, you have the ideal rainy day card.
If you rush and need a card, stamp the cloud with Smoky Slate ink and the rain line using Balmy Blue. For example, the card above is the quick one with Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue.
If you want to give a more realistic effect to the cloud, I suggest inking the cloud with white craft ink and then using a dauber with Basic Gray ink to add on top of the white ink. This technique I shared in the video above. I was in awhhhh of the effect it did on the cloud. I say it is worth giving it a try.
For the finishing touches, I added the cute raindrop in the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials. These tiny epoxy drops are the perfect add-on for a wow effect also you can qualify for a free pack of the epoxy see below for detail.
