Today I am sharing an easy way to color on vellum and the Pretty Pumpkins set. The card is perfect for the fall season to send to friends because you wished to tell them you are thinking of them. No need for a special occasion to send love in the mail.
Color on vellum with Stampin’ Blends is so simple and even more simple when you see how I color from the back of the stamped embossed image. I bet you will be in awe when you see how simple these pumpkins cards were created.
Two of the cards base are the Gingerbread & Peppermint Memories and More cards & envelopes. They are in the Christmas section in the Holiday catalog, although they are the best for fall cards. See them on page 9 of the Holiday catalog.

Showcase Of The Pretty Pumpkin On Vellum
For the pumping on these cards, stamp on vellum using Versamark, emboss with copper embossing powder. Next, color the back of the vellum using Stampin’ Blends. Now to make it stronger and to be able to adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals, adhere to a piece of Very Vanilla thick card stock. It is important to apply the liquid glue to the cardstock then place the colored vellum to the glued card stock. Let dry, then die cut with the matching dies.
Measurements
- Very Vanilla thick 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼, 3 x 3 for the pumpkins
- Vellum 3 x 3
- Early Espresso 2 x 4 ¼, 3 ⅛ scalloped circle
- Pumpkin Pie 1 ⅞ x 4 ¼
- Copper Foil 2 ¾ circle
- Cork 2 ⅜ circle
Measurements
- Crumb Cake 8 ½ x 5 ½ score at 4 ¼, 3 x 3 for the pumpkins
- Vellum and Very Vanilla Thick 2 ½ x 2 ½
- Very Vanilla 4 ¾ x 3 ½ embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder and sponged So Saffron on edge, Scrap for the vine. 5 ¼ x 4 inside.
- Early Espresso 5 x 3 ¾
- Copper Foil and Adhesive Sheet 3 ¾ x 2 To die-cut the detail pumpkin.
Inside the card, the detailed pumpkin is stamped in three colors. So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, and Old Olive. All is shown in the video.
Gingerbread & Peppermint Card with Pretty Pumpkins
For these card on the Gingerbread & Peppermint card base, it is no dimensions the card base comes pre-score and with envelopes. The cards are 4 ¼ x 6 ¼.
The pumpkin is the same as the card above with the Very Vanilla Thick card stock and the vellum.
I love these card bases with the pumpkins. They are a great combo with these vellum pumpkins plus the cork paper is the perfect finishing touches.
