For today I have three simple techniques to color with Soft Pastel. These techniques that I am about to share are three simple ways to add color with the Soft Pastels by Stampin’Up!®

The technique is with sponge daubers, Q-Tips and Blender Pens. I feel these are the most simple way to color with Soft Pastel. When coloring with soft pastels you will get a soft look so I guess that is where the name Soft Pastel comes in. 

The two stamp sets for today are After The Storm and Nature’s Harvest. Two great stamp sets to showcase the three basic techniques with pastels. 

After The Storm and Nature’s Harvest Color With Soft Pastels 

I am so thrilled with the finished result of these cards. I love the softness of the rays and the clouds from the stamp set After The Storm. Soft Pastels is the best to add color for a soft look. 
The only thing that wishes I woulda had was a few more colors to add to the clouds like pink and white. 

It is so simple to stamp a bold image and add the pastels with a dauber or Q-Tips. To color a detailed image like the coneflower that is best with Blender Pens. All is shown in the video.

Measurements 

• Coastal Cabana 11 x 4¼ score at 5½ card base 
• Early Espresso 5¼ x 4 or Pear Pizzazz 5-1/8 x 3-7/8
• Very Vanilla 5 x 3¾, plus scrap for the tags 

This is the same designer just the color of the flowers is different. I color the coneflower with blue and purple pastel.
