How to create a vintage watercolor card with the Feels Like Home stamp set
In this video, I am sharing a simple technique to create a vintage watercolor card. You will be amazed at how simple it is to create a beautiful vintage watercolor card.
Vintage watercolor card showcase
All three cards are the Vintage Watercolor. Here is the step by step to create a vintage watercolor.
- Place a piece of 5 x 3¾ of watercolor in the corner of the Stamparatus.
- Position the Feels Like home stamp.
- Ink with Soft Suede and stamp on the watercolor paper.
- Keep the stamp on the plate of the Stamparatus.
- Using a water painter brush, brush water all over the stamped image. Keeping the window clean.
- Let DRY
- You can add Old Olive for the tree leaves and greenery. Add So Saffron in the window.
- Let DRY.
- Place the dry piece of watercolor paper on the Stamparatus and stamp the image again, this time with Early Espresso.
- Voila! You have an adorable vintage watercolor image.
- Assemble as desire.
Measurements
- Card base Soft Suede or Cumb Cake 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼
- Watercolor paper 5 x 3¾ (after you are finished with the watercolor die cut with the Scalloped Contour die or trim to 5 x 3¼)
- Layer Early Espresso 5¼ x 3½ or the Scalloped Contour
The four corners cut a 1¾” circle in fourth and adhere one fourth in each corner.
Feels Like Home Colored With Watercolor
If you love to have more color, here is my take of a quick watercolor with the Feels Like Home stamp set.
My best advice when it comes to watercolor is to stamp the image using StazOn ink. Also, we need patience, that is, to let dry between each color. If we try to rush watercolor, we end up with a muddy image.
Here are the colors that I used to watercolor this card. The front door is a combination of Gray Granite, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede. The stones-bricks Gray Granite. Window in so Saffron. This bike is Bermuda Bay, basket Crumb Cake. Flower pots Cajun Craze flowers Melon Mambo and the greenery and leaves Old Olive.
The measurement is the same then the vintage card. The color of the card stock is Coastal Cabana and Basic Black.
