Today I will share how to make some simple Sunburst cards with the After the Storm stamp set. These are so much fun to make that it’s addictive. You can see I have many colors and I could a kept going and going.
The Sunburst Cards are very cheerful, perfect for birthdays, welcoming the new baby, congrats, and so on. It just like an explosion of happiness.
It is a little trick to align the ray of sunshine to make the sunburst onto a card. No worry, I have the how-to video to share the simple tips with your all.
How-to video to make the sunburst card
This video will show you how to make the sunburst with the After the Storm stamp set. It is only a five-minute video. When you see my quick tip you will be ready to make lots of them.
Choose your color depending on the occasion.
I have a few color combos for variation of occasion but note that the sky is the limit for color choice. Let me share some of my combos for different occasions.
Two choices for birthdays. The top card is Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green. Below is Flirty Flamingo and Gorgeous Grap.
By adding a few rhinestones, surely gives a bigger statement to the card.
Is it a boy or a girl? This girl card is Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo. The boy one is Pool Party and Smoky Slate also, if you need a unisex like for a baby shower So Saffron or Mint Macaron would be two great choices.
Sometimes we don’t need an occasion to send a card. Just because you are thinking of them, the Daffodil Delight is such a cheerful card with the Sunburst design.
Measurement
All the cards are the same measurement only difference is the colors card stock.
- Card base 8½ x 5½ score at 4¼ or 11 x 4¼ score at 5½
- Color Layer 5¼ x 4
- Basic White layer 5 x 3¾ this is the layer you stamp on.
- Inside is also Basic White 5¼ x 4
- Circle 2½ in color, 2″ Basic White
Half the Sunburst
For these two cards, I only did the sunburst partial. When doing partial start stamping the sun ray to the left-center and then diagonal at the top and bottom of your first stamped image.
These ones the circle are 1¾ and 2″.
